The Estrella Damm Gastronomy Congress returns to Melbourne
Estrella Damm brings the best international chefs together and strengthens the brand’s links with the gastronomic community
On the 29th of October, the Estrella Damm Gastronomy Congress touched down in Melbourne for the second time. The event, the Mediterranean beer brand’s gastronomic experience par excellence, brought together more than 200 chefs and personalities from the hospitality industry and was a platform for outstanding debates at the highest level on the future of gastronomy.
Joan Roca, chef at El Celler de Can Roca and holder of three Michelin stars, gave a cooking demonstration of dishes from his restaurant, inspired by memories of his childhood, and reflected on the future of gastronomy. “The future for chefs is to be authentic - in the dishes we make and in our own creative identity. This, combined with sustainability in every aspect of cooking and business, is the future," he commented.
This edition of the Estrella Damm Gastronomy Congress, which joins those previously held in Moscow, Paris, London, Miami and other cities, reinforces the link between Estrella Damm, official partner of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, and the gastronomic community.
