Estrella Damm celebrates the La Mercè festival again this year
The Estrella Damm Old Brewery and the Fòrum Espai Mediterràniament will host concerts with reduced audiences
For the seventh year running, the Estrella Damm Concerts for La Mercè return to celebrate Barcelona’s most important fiesta. This year the concerts will be smaller, prior booking will be necessary, seating will be allocated, and other Covid-19 health and safety measures will apply. Estrella Damm is committed to #CulturaSegura, the safe culture movement.
Three days of concerts will kick off on Thursday the 24th of September with Suu, Lidami and Ítaca Band at the Fòrum Espai Mediterràniament (Parc del Fòrum de Barcelona), which this year substitutes the traditional Mediterràniament stage on Bogatell beach. On Saturday the 26th, Dolo Beltrán, Gertrudis and La Sra. Tomasa will perform and on Sunday 27th, Aiala, Unfinished Sympathy and Maika Makovski will round off three days of music in the open air by the shores of the Mediterranean.
The concerts at the Fòrum Espai Mediterràniament will take place alongside those scheduled for Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th at the Estrella Damm Old Brewery in Barcelona as part of the of the BAM - Barcelona Acció Musical - programme, which will again be a platform for emerging electronic music, rock and pop talent. On Saturday 26th, Grauwi + Marta Cascales, Renaldo & Clara and Melenas, will take to the stage of the former brewery on Carrer Rosselló, followed by Jorra i Gomorra, Lu Rois and Da Souza on Sunday 27th.
To ensure the health and safety of everyone attending the concerts, the size of the audience is limited and access will be via free invitations downloaded from barcelona.cat/lamerce/en. The invitations were snapped up a few hours after the web went online. However, a few tickets for the concerts at the Parc del Fòrum are being raffled on Estrella Damm's social media and some of the concerts will be streamed on betevé and BcnCultura.
