The second LAB1876 annual event has selected six finalist teams
The initiative, aimed at the organisation's internal talent, aims to respond to the company's challenges through disruptive solutions
The Innovation Committee has selected the six teams that will move on to the next phase of this second annual LAB1876. It is an initiative promoted by Damm's Digital Transformation Department, within the framework of the open innovation strategy, aimed at the company's internal talent. The objective of LAB1876 is to generate creative and disruptive solutions to respond to the company's challenges proposed by the Management Committee and linked to sustainability, growth and efficiency.
From 1 to 3 April, Innovation Weekend was held at the Estrella Damm Old Brewery, during which ten teams participated in theoretical and practical sessions led by innovation specialists aiming to test the viability of their ideas and turning them into concrete proposals.
Last 8 April, the teams presented their projects to the Innovation Committee, which selected the six that will move on to the next phase, where they will develop their proposals over eight weeks. These are the finalists:
PSIL3NISTAS - Streamlining Container Loads & Excellence in Product Quality
HOPS SQUAD - Installation of an automatic stock control system
REVOGREEN - Improving supply chain efficiency with blockchain technology
META Damm - Exclusive experiences in virtual worlds
C.E.N SOS - Update and feed the census of premises via the mobile camera
PAB - Automatic ordering from bars
On 14 June, the finalists will present their projects to the Innovation Committee and the winning team will be chosen to embark on a trip to Silicon Valley. There they will learn about working methodologies and visit the campuses of innovative companies such as Google, Netflix and META. The team will also benefit from an innovative education from the universities of Stanford and Berkley.
