Padel Damm Club, winner of the Madrid Team Championship
This victory has allowed the Club to be promoted to compete in the highest category in the Community of Madrid
The Damm Padel Club has been proclaimed overall winner of the Madrid Second Category Team Championship held from 9 to 11 April in Madrid, which allowed it to be promoted to the highest category of padel in Madrid.
The Puerta de Hierro Sports Park hosted the quarter finals, in which Damm Padel Club beat CDE UBEAT by 0 - 5. The rain forecast for the weekend meant that the tournament was moved to the Duet Sports Las Rozas. In the semi-finals, played on Saturday, Damm Padel Club won 1 - 4 to Club R.E.P.
In Sunday's final, the players of Manu Pascual's team, sporting director of CP Damm, showed their superiority against Palas Ocio Padel Club, in a match that ended 0-5 in favour of Damm Padel Club. A victory that has allowed them to move up a category, now competing in the highest category of padel in the Community of Madrid.
It should also be noted that the victory of CP Damm, one of the Damm Foundation's own projects that was born in 2012 and whose objective is to prioritise education and sporting values, was achieved with a team made up 100% of players under 18 years of age.
During the Madrid Second Category Team Championship - organised by the Madrid Padel Federation - all the measures to prevent Covid-19 infection were complied with and the players showed exemplary behaviour, both on and off the court.
