Estrella Damm celebrates a very special Sant Jordi’s day
The annual day of books and roses adapts to the current circumstances and goes digital
This year, the Sant Jordi Musical will be celebrated in a very special way. Because of the current exceptional circumstances, the event at the Antiga Fàbrica Estrella Damm, the old brewery where Estrella Damm normally celebrates this traditional day in the city of Barcelona, makes way for a digital celebration. This 23rd of April, Estrella Damm brings you Sant Jordi’s day... …at home!
Two hours of music, literary and musical recommendations, star guests and many more surprises have been scheduled in a broadcast that can be followed on www.estrelladamm.com and on Instagram @AgendaEstrellaDammCat between 18.30 and 21.30. There will be an interval of 60 minutes, between 19.30 and 21.30, so that anyone who wants to can, as usual, applaud from their balcony or window those engaged in the daily fight against Covid-19.
Performances by Gertrudis, Blaumut, Suu, Itaca Band and Balkan Paradise Orchestra, among others, will share the screen with the musical recommendations of iCat DJs Òscar Broc, Albert Miralles, Dani Nel·lo and Miqui Puig and with book recommendations by Nil Moliner, Miki Nuñez, Marc Ros (Sidonie) and Adrià Salas (La Pegatina), virtual dedications included.
All this, plus the participation of special guest stars from the world of comedy such as Elisenda Carod, Peyu and Pep Plaza, musicians Guillamino and Joan Pons (El petit de cal Eril) and leading journalists Xantal Llavina, Marta Pérez Verge, Gerard Romero, Marta Salicrú and Mònica Terribas. And a lot of surprises.
