The Davis Cup trophy arrives at the Cervezas Victoria Brewery in Malaga
The Malaga brewery, sponsor of the Davis Cup, also received Feliciano López, tennis player and current tournament director of the Davis Cup Finals
Cervezas Victoria, sponsor of the Davis Cup 2023, opened the doors of its brewery to welcome the tournament's emblematic trophy on the occasion of the finals in Malaga. The trophy will remain in the city until Sunday the 27th, when it will be awarded to the champion.
The arrival of the trophy coincided with the celebration of a new edition of Aula SUR, a cycle organized periodically by Diario SUR with the collaboration of Cervezas Victoria. The event was hosted by Feliciano López, tennis player and current director of the Davis Cup Finals tournament, who highlighted the importance of this championship for the city of Malaga - the world capital of tennis for the second year running.
Fans of the sport attended the talk at the Cervezas Victoria Brewery, where they had the opportunity to pose with the trophy - one of the most spectacular in the world of sport due to its size and design - and take home a tennis ball signed by Feliciano López.
Before arriving in the city of Malaga, the trophy made a stop in Madrid-Atocha for the press conference to present the finals, where Jorge Villavecchia, general director of Damm, was present, along with David Haggarty, president of the Davis Cup, Feliciano López, Raúl Blanco, president of RENFE, and authorities from Malaga and Andalusia.
