Damm presents its latest novelties at the HIP 2022
The company has taken a mechanical arm that will help in serving beers at large-scale events
Within the framework of the 2022 edition of the HIP (Horeca Professional Expo), Damm has presented its latest innovation aimed at boosting the digitalization of the hospitality sector: a mechanical arm that will help streamline beverage service at mass events. The tool, developed in collaboration with the robotics consultancy firm BR5, has been designed to work in support of waiting staff.
The robot is comprised of a mechanical arm capable of serving a beer while maintaining the highest standards of quality, thanks to the optical and manual sensors distributed throughout key points, as well as the use of embedded intelligence. This solution thus becomes a key tool for bar service at large events.
Innovation is part of Damm's commitment to the digitalization of the hospitality and catering sector. The company is betting on boosting new projects within the field of technology and R&D, in order to offer an optimized service to it clients. In that sense, Bar Manager, a mobile application that has become the leading direct communication channel between the company and its bar service clients, stands out. It is currently in use by 40.000 users, who use the app on a daily basis to obtain information, train, and digitalize their internal processes.
On the other hand, Laura Gil, Digital Transformation Director for Damm, has participated in the "Revolutionising the market with unique concepts" round table, where different industry professionals discuss different business models within the catering and hospitality sector.
Duet, the first incursion by Damm into sour beer
Among the novelties Damm has taken to the HIP, Duet stands out from the rest. It is the first incursion by the brewery into sour beer, prepared along with the Roca brothers: Joan, Josep, and Jordi, from the legendary, three Michelin star El Celler de Can Roca restaurant in Girona. The new beer from Damm is a sour ale made from malt and white Grenache grapes from the Terra Alta (Tarragona) region; a sour, balanced and culinary beer, ideal for pairing with seafood.
