Estrella de Levante helps in the fight against Covid-19
The beer brand distributes medical supplies and mineral water to hospitals and health and social centres
Estrella de Levante has offered its help to the government and health authorities in the fight against Covid-19. This week the beer company donated mineral water, non-alcoholic beer and refrigerators to the combined centre for food and drink logistics and rest area for drivers which has been set up in Murcia, at the Nueva Condomina stadium, home of Real Murcia CF.
In coordination with Protección Civil (civil defence), the Servicio Murciano de Salud (the regional health service in Murcia) and the Consejería de Política Social del Gobierno (the regional government social policy department), Estrella de Levante has arranged the delivery of health protection material from the Hospital Clínico Universitario Virgen de la Arrixaca to all the retirement homes in the 21 municipalities of the Murcia region. In addition, the company has supplied more than 6 pallets of mineral water to the Hospital Morales Meseguer and to the Fundación Jesús Abandonado.
The brewery has also contributed 25,000 litres of alcohol through Alcoholera, which will be used to produce hydroalcoholic mixture. With this, Alcoholera will be able to manufacture more than 10,000 litres of 96º alcohol, which is scarce in all of the country’s hospitals. In addition, Estrella de Levante has sent another 5,000 litres of alcohol to the Murcian company Arom SA to be used in making sanitising gel.
