The Estrella Damm La Mercè Concerts fill Barcelona with music
The Estrella Damm Old Brewery and the Fòrum Espai Mediterràniament hosted three days of concerts, with complete health and safety measures
Once again, this year, the Estrella Damm La Mercè Concerts brought music to Barcelona for the La Mercè fiesta. For three days, the Estrella Damm Old Brewery and the Fòrum Espai Mediterràniament showcased emerging young talent and groups from the national music scene.
Grauwi + Marta Cascales, Renaldo & Clara, Melenas, Jorra i Gomorra, Lu Rois and Da Souza livened up the weekend at the Old Brewery while Suu, Lidami, Ítaca Band, Dolo Beltrán, Gertrudis, La Sra. Tomasa, Aiala, Unfinished Sympathy and Maika Makovski got the audience dancing in the Fòrum Espai Mediterràniament, rounding off the Estrella Damm La Mercè Concerts.
An unusual La Mercè fiesta
This year, all the concerts were held outdoors, some on the shores of the Mediterranean, with all the appropriate health and safety measures: hand sanitising gel, face masks and social distancing.
Advance ticket booking was introduced to the La Mercè fiesta for the first time, reducing the size of the audience for the concerts but allowing the public to enjoy live music.
In this way, and for the fifteenth year running, Estrella Damm, while adapting to the circumstances, renewed its bond with the citizens of Barcelona and La Mercè fiesta and reinforced its commitment to culture.
