Damm shines pink for World Breast Cancer Awareness Day
The company joins the efforts driven by the Spanish Cancer Prevention Association (AECC in Spanish), in order to increase awareness regarding this illness
For another year, in honor of World Breast Cancer Awareness Day, the front of the old Estrella Damm Brewery (Barcelona), the Estrella Damm Brewery at El Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona), Plataforma Continental (Madrid), the Cervezas Victoria Brewery (Málaga), and the Estrella de Levante Brewery (Murcia) will shine pink from eight in the evening tonight until eight the next morning.
By doing this, Damm joins the initiative driven by the Spanish Cancer Prevention Association (AECC in Spanish) for a sixth year in a row, in order to highlight the importance of research, as well as increasing awareness throughout society regarding the need for prevention and early detection of breast cancer, the most frequently diagnosed form of cancer among Spanish women, according to data from the Spanish Medical Oncology Association (SEOM in Spanish). Some of the most emblematic buildings throughout the cities of Spain will join this "Magical Night" by shining pink to commemorate World Breast Cancer Awareness Day.
Furthermore, in order to strengthen their commitment to increasing awareness related to this illness, Cervezas Victoria will participate in a new edition of the "Pink Tide" race organized by the AECC in Marbella, on November 20. This initiative has become a benchmark in terms of support for women that have been diagnosed with this illness, and to increase awareness among the local population with regard to the importance of prevention through sport.
