Damm receives efr certificate as a family-friendly company
The certificate, issued by the Fundación Másfamilia, backed by the Ministry of Health, Consumer Affairs and Social Welfare and audited by AENOR, recognises SA Damm’s work-life balance policies.
The Fundación Másfamilia has awarded SA Damm the efr certificate as a Family-Friendly Company. This certificate acknowledges the effort the company has made to improve the wellbeing and the work-life balance of more than 600 employees. The certificate, which is backed by the Ministry of Health, Consumer Affairs and Social Welfare, was presented on Monday, the 4th of February at the Estrella Damm Old Brewery by the Managing Director of Másfamilia, Rafael Fuertes, to Jorge Villavecchia, CEO of Damm, and Ricardo Lechuga, Director of Human Resources at Damm.
The efr certificate endorses Damm's commitment to implementing measures to improving work-life balance as a priority in its business strategy. To get the award the company passed an external audit, carried out by AENOR, which analysed all the equality and work-life balance measures that the company has put into practice, as well as the workforce’s perception of them.
Damm has started a specific plan to create a new social, work and business culture, based on flexibility, respect and mutual commitment. In the coming years the intention is to extend this to the rest of the companies in the organisation, which currently employs more than 4,000 people. The company has set up a working group of professionals from different departments, led by Damm's Director of Human Resources, Ricardo Lechuga, who will ensure the plan's objectives are met and will oversee the construction of a solid management model in line with the company's values and code of conduct.
There are currently more than 40 Damm efr project work-life balance measures in place, aiming to meet the present and future needs of the people who make up the company. Among these measures, SA Damm employees value very highly projects such as flexible working hours, the Plan Saludable, which encourages taking part in sport and good eating habits, and the renewal of the company's Plan de Igualdad equality plan. As part of Damm’s ongoing digital transformation project, the launch of Damm Academy a few months ago stands out. Damm Academy is a new digital training platform for employees which allows access to online training from any location and at any time.
“We are very proud to receive the efr certificate. It shows our commitment to the professionals who work for our company. At Damm we work on the premise that people are our greatest asset and the key to the company's success. For this reason, investing in measures that allow Damm's employees to carry out their work in an environment that encourages a harmonious balance between family and work life is a priority for us,” said Jorge Villavecchia.
The director of the Fundación Másfamilia commented that, “The efr certificate represents for Damm an important and serious commitment to the company’s workforce. It is also a long-term commitment to continuous improvement.”
