Damm joins the ninth annual Magic Line San Juan de Dios
The company's employees who took part in the solidarity mobilisation raised €6,683, which will be used mainly to help refugee families in Ukraine
Damm has joined a newest Magic Line SJD, the solidarity movement for people in vulnerable situations organised every year by the Obra Social de San Juan de Dios. The teams travelled the different routes that the company promoted in Catalonia, Madrid, Valencia and Murcia, and managed to raise a total of €6,683.
Under the slogan "we are what we share", the Damm teams covered more than 2,200 km, for which the Damm Foundation donates €1 for each kilometre covered by the collaborators. The contribution of the Damm teams is in addition to the global proceeds raised during the 9th annual Magic Line SJD, which will go to social projects and to help refugee families from Ukraine.
In this year's SJD Magic Line, companies, schools and organisations have been able to promote and organise their own routes. Damm took advantage of the occasion to promote, together with its collaborators, a tour of the Catalan coast. More than 1600 people took part in the Mediterranean route that started in Mataró and ended in Barcelona, with two more starting points for those who wanted to do a shorter route, starting in the towns of Premiá de Mar and Badalona. In addition, this year, people from the company have also taken part in tours organised in Murcia, Valencia and Madrid.
Magic Line mobilises to assist refugee families from Ukraine
In response to the humanitarian emergency in Ukraine, the Orden Hospitalaria de San Juan de Dios launched the "Emergency in Ukraine" campaign, with which the organisation decided to allocate part of the proceeds from Magic Line SJD to help Ukrainian refugee families. Orden Hospitalaria de San Juan de Dios has a centre in the city of Drohobych, Ukraine, as well as five other centres in Poland, where it is providing basic and social health care to hundreds of people fleeing the war.
Damm is one of the main promoters of the routes organised by Magic Line, one of the initiatives that form part of #LIVE TO BE PART OF THE CHANGE to contribute to the improvement of society.
