The Damm Foundation joins the fight against Covid-19
The Foundation distributes more than 30,000 litres (about 50,000 bottles) of mineral water to hospitals, health centres and social organisations
At a time as critical and exceptional as this, the existence of the Damm Foundation makes more sense than ever. The Foundation has already contacted the Government and the different health authorities to collaborate in the fight against the coronavirus (Covid-19), with the donation of bottles of mineral water to Spanish hospitals and health centres, helping to cover the basic water needs of healthcare personnel and patients.
As of today, the Damm Foundation has distributed nearly 26,000 litres (about 42,000 bottles) of Veri and Fuente Liviana mineral water to health centres and hospitals in 12 provinces, including the Raval Nord health centre (Barcelona) and the Bellvitge (L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona), Sant Joan de Déu (Martorell, Barcelona) and Vithas Montserrat (Lleida) hospitals, and to the hospitals of La Paz, Nuestra Señora de América, Pardo de Aravaca and to the temporary hospital which has been set up by the local government in the Ifema trade fair in Madrid.
More than 4,000 litres (about 8,000 bottles) of mineral water have also been distributed to social organisations, such as Fundació Arrels and Cáritas, among others, which look after society’s most vulnerable groups.
As long as this health crisis lasts, the Foundation will continue to supply water to these hospitals, health centres and social organisations and will extend its distribution throughout the country.
