Damm Foundation backs UIC Barcelona's talent with the creation of three new scholarships
The new Damm Foundation Scholarships were created with the aim of supporting the training of students with good academic records and economic difficulties, in line with UIC Barcelona's annual campaign #NingúnTalentoSinFuturo (NoTalentWithoutFuture)
The Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (International University of Catalonia, UIC Barcelona) and the Damm Foundation have signed a collaboration agreement that created three new Damm Foundation scholarships aimed at UIC Barcelona students. This has expanded the University's programme of scholarships and grants.
The three grants will go to students with good academic records and limited financial resources. They will help them cover part of their tuition fees, in line with UIC Barcelona's corporate campaign #NingúnTalentoSinFuturo.
Ramon Agenjo, patron-director of the Damm Foundation, and Dr. Alfonso Méndiz, rector of UIC Barcelona, were present at the signing of the agreement. "The Damm Foundation is an organisation committed to people, supporting projects with entities with which, like UIC Barcelona, it shares values such as solidarity, equality and respect", said Agenjo during the signing of the agreement. Dr Méndez thanked the Damm Foundation for its contribution and commitment to the university project, as well as its commitment to training.
This grand expands the University's scholarship and bursary programme, which currently amounts to €5.7 million.
